Behind the scenes of yesterday's project. This was a follow up to my image about roles of a father, and for the roles of a mother I wanted to have a self sacrificial love element to it. Here are the editing steps: 1. Take picture of my wife holding a 3 foot board in place of the shield. Also holding a children's Bible. 2. Take picture of my son separately, because he didnt want to sit under that board haha. 3. Add in a ground texture and cloudy skies. 4. Use 3D tools in photoshop to create the shield, and all the arrows. 5. Add fire and blood elements to the image for a little bit more character. 6. Remove pictures and text from book to avoid copyright issues. 7. Overall color grading.
